Chinese betta fish can jump. They have the habit of jumping. Because they are different from other fish, they have auxiliary respiratory organs, which can leave the water to breathe oxygen in the air, and can also use the oxygen in the air to exchange with the gas in the body. If there is too little oxygen in the water environment where they live, they will jump out of the tank.

In addition, the poor water quality of Chinese betta fish will also lead to tank jumping. Although they can accept weak bases, weak acids and neutral water, they will jump when the water pollution is too serious.

1. Ensure sufficient oxygen: Most of the reasons for Chinese betta fish jumping into the tank are lack of oxygen, so it is best for breeders to install an oxygen pump in the fish tank. Open it regularly for 3-5 hours every day, so as to ensure sufficient oxygen in the water.

2. Keep the water clean: Poor water quality is also one of the reasons for betta fish jumping. Breeders should avoid them jumping. It is necessary to change water frequently, preferably once every 2 days or so. However, the amount of water changed each time should not be too large, and it should be controlled at a quarter of the total amount of water.

3. Fish tank lid: If Chinese betta fish jump into the tank seriously, breeders need to put lids on them to prevent them from jumping out of the fish tank and causing life-threatening situations. However, this can't fundamentally solve the problem of jumping cylinders, so it's better for breeders to find out the reasons for jumping cylinders before making adjustments.
