Chinese betta is oviparous. When they reproduce, the female fish first discharge their eggs, and then the male fish inseminate them. They breed for a long time, usually between Tomb-Sweeping Day and winter solstice every year. If breeders want them to breed, they must ensure that their living environment is comfortable.
2. How do Chinese betta breed1. Ready to breed: If breeders want Chinese betta to breed, they must prepare a separate breeding tank for them. The space of the breeding tank does not need to be too large, and the capacity is about 12-20 liters. The fish tank needs to be injected with fresh water, the water temperature needs to be kept between 26-27 ℃, and the height of water level should be controlled above 10 cm.
2. Choose parent fish: Chinese betta males spit out a lot of bubbles to build bubble nests before breeding. Breeders can choose some males who have spit out bubbles, and then choose some female fish with bright body colors and transfer them to new breeding tanks.
3. Breeding: After the parent fish enters the tank, the male fish will keep chasing the female fish, and if the female fish accepts their pursuit, they will chase each other. In the process of chasing, they will produce fish eggs, and the male fish will be inseminated.
4. Hatching: After parent fish are produced, the breeder needs to fish them out immediately to prevent them from eating their eggs. Then ensure that they live in a comfortable environment and wait for about 2 days to hatch.
