Chinese betta and Thai betta cannot reproduce offspring because they are different species. Chinese betta is a fish of Betta, Betta subfamily, Betta and Fork-tailed Betta, while Thai Betta is a fish of Betta, Boyu and Multicolored Boyu. There are differences in species between them. Different species in nature have reproductive isolation, so they cannot reproduce offspring. Moreover, their courtship and mating postures are different. Even if they can mate, their chromosomes cannot be paired successfully, so they cannot breed the next generation. Even if they can reproduce the next generation, the quality of the next generation will be poor, and the next generation will not reproduce.
2. How do betta breed1. Prepare breeding tank: If you want betta to breed, you should prepare a separate breeding tank for them. The water temperature in the breeding tank should be kept at 26-27 ℃, and the height of the water level should be controlled at about 10 cm.
2. Choose parent fish: Breeders need to choose mature betta fish and put male fish in according to the ratio of 1: 1. Betta fish will pair themselves when breeding, and then start breeding after successful pairing.
3. Reproduction: Before reproduction, the male fish will spit out a lot of bubbles. When the female fish and the male fish play or dance together, it means that the female fish is about to lay eggs, and the male fish will discharge sperm immediately.
4. Hatch: The male fish will put the fertilized eggs into the built nest and will guard the eggs until they hatch successfully.
