It does not require high water quality, and can be maintained with tap water exposed to the sun. It is an omnivorous fish, so the feed is better prepared, you can use artificial feed plus red worms, nematodes, tubificidae and other live bait mixed feeding. It has the ability to breathe water surface air, so it does not need to use oxygen pump when the breeding density is not large.
