The Bodhisattva fish has a mixed diet, and the foods it can eat are tomatoes, spinach, red worms, nematodes, tubificidae, brine shrimp, artificial fish food, rice, steamed bun residue, and so on. When specific breeding, it is recommended to give priority to animal feed, with artificial fish food and plant feed to feed. It's better for their growth. When feeding, they can be fed a little miscellaneous, so that they can get more comprehensive nutrition from food, so as to grow better.
Bodhisattva fish can eat flies. However, it is not recommended to feed fish with captured flies. Because there are many pathogens and parasites on wild flies, feeding them directly to fish may cause fish to be infected with pathogens or parasites, thus getting sick. It is generally recommended to feed them with clean, disinfected red worms or nematodes. If you must feed flies, you can buy disinfected breeding flies to feed.
When raising Bodhisattva fish, feed 1-2 times a day. If you feed them once a day, you can feed them more appropriately, and let them eat about 80% full each time. But if you feed them twice a day, you must feed them less, and let them eat about 50% full each time. When raising young fish, you can feed them 2-3 times a day, which can provide them with more nutrients and make them grow up faster.
