Apple snails may lay eggs all year round, provided that the water temperature is kept in a suitable range and they are provided with enough food. They are very easy to breed ornamental snails, which can breed several times a month in the right environment. But if the water in which they are raised is too cold or too hot, or if they are starved because no food is provided, they may not lay eggs.
When the apple snail grows to about 1cm, it can reproduce. Some precocious individuals can reproduce when their body length exceeds 0.5 cm. Whether they can reproduce or not has a lot to do with water temperature. They are more likely to reproduce in water temperatures of about 24 degrees Celsius. If the water temperature is very low, even if they grow up, they can not reproduce.
The eggs laid by apple snails are wrapped in a transparent adhesive material. In an environment where water temperature and water quality are suitable, their eggs can be hatched in about 14 days. If the water temperature is very low, it will take longer for them to hatch.
