Apple snails, mysterious snails and onion snails in ornamental snails will eat fish feces. However, snails eat fish feces and also have excrement, so it is impossible to expect them to improve water quality, or need to filter or clean up when changing water, otherwise the deterioration of water quality will still affect the survival of various organisms in the water.
1. Apple snail: Apple snail is native to South America. It likes warm waters. It needs to keep the water temperature between 25-32 ℃. This kind of snail is suitable for growing in dark and humid environment, and is more photophobic. Usually it can be fed some green feed, such as vegetables and duckweed, breeding period can also supplement concentrate, commonly used rice bran, soybean cake and bran.
2. Mysterious snail: Mysterious snail does not have a high demand for water quality. As long as the fish can live, it can live. It can also tolerate the water quality that the fish cannot live. It needs to keep the pH of the water above 7.5, and if it is too low, it will cause its shell to thin. Daily feeding should choose rotten vegetable leaves or soft fish feed, and red nematodes can also be fed.
3. Onion snails: Onion snails are rare in species, spherical in shape, and thin in shell, so they are easy to break. It does not require high water quality, but it is best in the center of hard water, soft water can easily lead to dissolution of the shell, which will affect its ornamental. The water temperature should be kept between 22 and 24 degrees Celsius, and algae should be used for food.
