To raise ornamental snails, first of all, there must be a fish tank. Generally, there is no specific requirement for the size of the fish tank. However, the water level in the tank must be kept above 20 centimeters. At the same time, a cover must be added. Otherwise, it will climb out, especially during the breeding period. It usually climbs to the top of the water surface to lay eggs. Without a cover, it is easy to fall out and break. In addition, the bigger the vat, the faster it grows.
Ornamental snails do not have very high requirements for water quality. As long as fish can live, they can accept it. Moreover, in the water quality where some fish cannot survive, they can also survive. Usually, the pH of the water body should be maintained between 7 and 8, and the salinity of freshwater snails should not exceed three thousandths. In addition, a nitrification system should be established so that the water quality can be clear.
Freshwater snails are suitable for living in warm waters, usually the temperature should be maintained between 20-30 ℃, in this temperature range, its appetite is relatively large, and the growth rate is also very fast. Once it exceeds 35 degrees Celsius, growth will be limited, and if it exceeds 45 degrees Celsius, it will die. Similarly, it does not like to move in the water body below 15 ℃, and will begin to rest at 5 ℃
It is also necessary to feed the ornamental snails. It is an omnivorous animal, and can be fed with feed, vegetable leaves, corn, and so on. In addition, the algae in the tank and the residual bait left by the fish can also be used as their food. Because its growth needs a certain amount of calcium, so the calcium content of feed must be engaged in, regularly to supplement calcium tablets or shell powder.
