There are many kinds of ornamental snails, but they are basically omnivorous animals with a wide range of food habits. In addition to artificial feed, they can also be fed with spinach, cabbage leaves, corn and other vegetarian foods, or with red nematodes or fish. Because its shell growth needs a certain amount of calcium, it also needs regular supplementation of calcium tablets or shell powder. Usually, the feed is fed 1-2 times a day, and the feed can be eaten up every time, the feeding time is mostly in the early morning and evening, wherein the feed fed in the early morning accounts for about 30% of the total amount, and the remaining 70% is fed in the evening.
1. Reduce the water temperature: The ornamental snail has certain requirements on the water temperature. It is suitable to grow in warm waters. Usually, the temperature should be kept between 20 and 30 ℃. In this environment, the appetite is often strong. If the temperature is higher than 35 ℃ or lower than 15 ℃, the appetite will decrease. At the same time, the growth rate will be slowed down.
2. Change the feed: Do not feed only one kind of feed to the ornamental snail. Usually, green vegetables and pellet feed should be used. Feeding a single food for a long time will easily lead to its adjustment, and thus it will not eat anything. However, do not change the feed too frequently, it is best to change it every other time.
3. Change water in time: Ornamental snails have lower requirements for water quality than fish. However, if the water is seriously polluted, the water quality is poor, or the oxygen content in the tank is low, it will affect its appetite and cause it not to eat. At this time, it is necessary to change water in time. In peacetime, we should also pay attention to changing water to keep the water clean and hygienic.
