When raising ornamental shrimps, we must pay attention to the water quality. It has higher requirements for the water body. If the ammonia nitrogen in the water is high, it will affect its survival. Usually, the pH of the water body should be kept between 5 and 8, and the hardness should be kept between 1 and 6. If more shrimp are found floating, it means that the water quality is not good enough and a large amount of water needs to be changed. In addition, if the color of the shrimp body becomes pale, it also indicates that the water quality has deteriorated.
Ornamental shrimp is more sensitive to water temperature, usually the temperature should be maintained at about 22-24 ℃, as long as the breeding period can be raised 1-2 ℃, the water temperature will be maintained at 25 ℃. It should be noted that the higher the water temperature, the lower the dissolved oxygen in the water body, and the higher the demand for oxygen in this animal itself, so we must pay attention to temperature control, usually the temperature can not exceed 28 C, otherwise it will lead to female shrimp unable to spawn.
Although ornamental shrimp are omnivorous animals, they prefer vegetarian food, and the feed is mostly spinach, which can be fed once or twice a week. First, fresh spinach is soaked in water and salt for about ten minutes, then washed three times, and then boiled in water for 3-5 minutes until the leaves can be punctured. After fishing out the spinach, put it in cold water, and then cut it into pieces for feeding.
Shelling is very dangerous when ornamental shrimps grow to a certain extent, and once they fail, they will die. In order to improve the success rate of shelling, we should pay attention to supplement a little nutrition, you can put a few pieces of vitamin B12, at the same time, when shelling, but also to oxygenate the water body.
