If ornamental shrimps want to reproduce, they must first ensure that the water quality is good, which is crucial for the female shrimp to hatch eggs and the growth of shrimp eggs. Generally, the water in the tank needs soft water, the hardness is less than 8, pure water, rainwater or snow water can also be used, but in order to avoid pollution in these waters, it is best to choose distilled water or neutral water.
In the breeding period of ornamental shrimp, water temperature should also be regulated, compared with normal feeding, the temperature in the breeding period is 1-2 ℃ higher. Usually the temperature should be kept at about 25 C, which helps to incubate eggs. It should be noted that the lower the water temperature, the higher the dissolved oxygen in the water, which is conducive to the survival of shrimp. If the temperature exceeds 28 C, the female shrimp will not be able to hatch eggs.
In order to ensure that the female shrimp can lay eggs smoothly, it is also necessary to supplement certain nutrition to it. Usually shrimp food must contain vitamins and minerals, which can improve the quality of eggs, but also can make more eggs. If the constitution is weak, it will reduce the survival rate of eggs, which is not good for mother shrimp and shrimp roe.
After the female shrimp and the male shrimp have completed mating, the male shrimp injects sperm into the female shrimp's genitals, and the latter's ovaries will gradually mature. When it lays eggs, it will squeeze out sperm, so that it can complete in vitro fertilization and carry out egg development. The egg mass is initially golden yellow, then turns black or green, indicating that the eggs have matured.
