There are many kinds of ornamental shrimps, but most of them are suitable for living in warm water of 23-26 ℃, only a few heat-resistant shrimps can live in water above 28 ℃, and other shrimps are easy to die at this temperature. In addition to water temperature, but also pay attention to the water's Ph and hardness, usually Ph to maintain between 5-8, hardness of 6, so that shrimp can better survive.
1. Air the water in advance: Before changing the water for ornamental shrimps, be sure to prepare new water first. Usually choose tap water, but because it contains chlorine, so need to dry for a few days, until the chlorine volatilization can be used, if not through dechlorination, easy to damage the health of prawns.
2. Change the amount of water: Usually, it is not necessary to change all the water for the shrimps. It is enough to change one fifth or one quarter of the old water each time. However, before changing, it is necessary to test whether the environment of the new water is close to that of the old water, including the water temperature and pH. If the difference is too large, it will easily stimulate the shrimps.
3. Water changing process: Do not move too fast when changing water. It is inevitable that the water quality will change after the new water is added. Generally, the new water is allowed to enter the tank by dripping, which will not affect the shrimp. If the water is changed by violence, the water quality will fluctuate in a short period of time, which will easily stimulate the shrimp and even cause its death.
4. Note: If it is the first time to raise shrimps, the water in the tank should be changed completely after a few days, so as to provide a good growth environment. After that, the water does not need to be changed completely.
