The musk turtle is suitable for growing in an environment where the water temperature is about 20 ℃. Usually, it can be placed on the balcony to bask in the sun. In the high temperature period of summer, it needs to be placed indoors in a cool and ventilated place, do not let the water temperature higher than 28 C, otherwise it will affect its healthy growth. In winter, when the temperature is relatively low, water can be properly heated, which can be conducive to its normal growth.
Musk turtles usually maintain the water temperature at about 20 degrees Celsius. In spring, summer and autumn, musk turtles can be maintained without heating rods, and the usual water temperature can meet their survival needs. In winter, when the water temperature is below 10 C, the musk turtle will enter the hibernation state. If the indoor temperature is high, and the difference with the water temperature is not large, you can not use the heating rod, let it enter the hibernation state; If the indoor temperature is low and the water temperature is much different, in order to prevent it from getting sick, you can use a heating rod to heat the water to about 25 degrees Celsius, and cover the turtle tank with a cover.
The heating rod of musk turtle does not need to be on all the time. As long as the indoor temperature is relatively high and the water temperature is not far from the room temperature, the heating rod can be turned off. If the indoor temperature is relatively low, you can always open the heating rod, which can prevent the musk turtle from getting sick.
