Butterfly carp is a kind of ornamental fish. Overall, it is not a particularly good fish to raise. They have higher requirements for the surrounding environment, and are more sensitive to environmental changes. In farming, there are many problems to be paid attention to, once the environment is not suitable, it will affect their growth and development and even survival.
1. Fish tank and equipment: To raise butterfly carp, the first thing to do is to prepare a suitable fish tank and some necessary equipment. The fish tank should not be too small, and it is not easy to control the water quality in a too small fish tank. In addition, there are some equipment, such as filters, which need nitrifying bacteria on the filter material.
2. Disinfection treatment: Before putting the butterfly carp into the fish tank, the fish tank needs to be disinfected. Moreover, the fish could not be put in until three days after sterilization.
3. Regular water change: In the process of breeding butterfly carp, special attention should be paid to the problem of water change. If the water is not changed for a long time, it will affect the health of butterfly carp. The frequency of water exchange can be adjusted according to the state of the water quality in the fish tank, generally speaking, the water can be exchanged once a week or two weeks. The best tap water for changing water is the water that has been dried, and the water that has been dried for two or three days is better.
4. Pay attention to feeding: Feeding is also a very important step. You can feed it once a day, try not to feed it more than twice. Feeding too much can lead to death. If there are food residues in the water, they need to be removed from the fish tank, because they will pollute the water quality.
5. Adjust the water temperature: In the process of breeding, you also need to pay attention to adjusting the water temperature. Butterfly carp is suitable for living in a slightly higher water temperature environment, preferably adjusted to 25-30 degrees. Try not to lower than 20 degrees, if not, it can be maintained at about 20 degrees.
