Generally speaking, after 4-8 months of growth, individuals with body length of more than 4 cm can reproduce. However, in the actual breeding, it is recommended to select individuals over 6 months of age and 5 cm of body length for reproduction. Because if the parent fish is too small, the quality of sperm or eggs produced will not be too high, which will affect the quality of fish fry.
