Chinese betta fish can accept a wide range of temperatures, and they can accept water temperatures between 3-30 ℃. As long as the temperature fluctuation is not particularly large, they will not have much problem. In captivity, as long as the water temperature can be kept stable, they can survive normally without using heating rods.

But their favorite water temperature is between 24-27 ℃. Breeders can install heating rods to make their lives more comfortable. In this temperature range, their appetite and activity are also the highest, and their growth speed is also the fastest. If breeders want them to grow better, they'd better install heating rods. Chinese betta fish can survive with or without heating rods, but whether to install heating rods depends on the breeder's personal choice.

If the breeder lives in the south of China, it is ok not to heat Chinese betta fish. Because winter in southern China is generally not particularly cold, and Chinese betta fish has strong cold resistance, it is ok not to heat it.

If the breeder lives in northern China, it is better to warm the Chinese betta fish. Because the temperature in winter in the north is low, it may even freeze. If the breeder doesn't heat them, they will freeze to death.
