The green arowana is a kind of ornamental fish with a relatively large body size. It has a relatively long life span and a relatively strong ability to adapt to the environment, so it is relatively easy to raise. They have no strict requirements for water quality and water temperature. Generally, as long as it can be provided with a relatively suitable growth environment, and on time to provide appropriate feed, they can be raised well.
1. Fish tank: Because the adult green arowana can grow to more than 50cm, and some individuals can grow longer, it is necessary to use a relatively large fish tank to raise. It is better to use a fish tank with a length of more than 1.5m, a width of more than 0.5m and a height of more than 0.7m. If the tank is too small, it may hinder their growth.
2. Water temperature: It is a tropical fish and likes the water temperature of 24-28 ℃. When breeding, the water temperature should be controlled within this range. When changing water, we should pay attention to controlling the water temperature. In order to avoid large changes in water temperature, only one third of the water can be replaced each time, not all.
3. Water quality: It likes to grow in water with pH between 6.5 and 7.5. When breeding, it is necessary to adjust the pH of the water, and at the same time, pay attention not to make a big change in the pH value. In addition, in order to ensure water quality, it is best to change water once a week, about one third of the water each time. If young fish are cultured, the number of water changes can be increased appropriately.
4. Feed: When breeding, you can choose small shrimps and fish as its feed, or you can choose packaged bagged feed. They are usually fed once a day, and each time they are fed until they are about 80% full. If young fish are raised, they can be fed twice a day instead.
