The golden snail generally does not eat fish feces. The nutritional value of fish excrement is very low, and it is not their favorite food. They prefer to eat live bait such as red worms and nematodes. Because this kind of feed has higher nutritional value and is more suitable for their growth. In addition to animal feed, they can also be fed some plant feed, such as green vegetable leaves, fruit pulp and so on, which can make them get more balanced nutritional supplies.
The golden snail has almost no function of cleaning the fish tank. Because they don't like to eat fish shit or algae. They only have the function of cleaning up the residues of fish and shrimp. So they're not very effective at cleaning the tank. Moreover, they also produce snail dung, which pollutes the water quality, so it is not recommended to clean the fish tank by introducing golden snails.
The golden snail is not suitable for being kept in a grass jar. Because they are very destructive to the aquatic plants in the water tank, putting them in the grass tank will affect the normal growth of the aquatic plants. In addition, other fish and shrimp are usually kept in the grass tank, and they may eat other small fish and shrimp that swim slowly. So it's better not to put them in a grass tank.
