Red Arowana likes old water. They have higher requirements for water quality and are sensitive to the fluctuation of water quality, so old water is more suitable for their life. Although they like old water, breeders can't reduce the frequency of changing water. Under the condition of normal feeding, it is necessary to change water once every 3-5 days, and the amount of water change each time should be controlled by one third of the total water quantity.

1. Preparation for changing water: Many breeders will use tap water to breed red arowana, but the tap water just received contains more chlorine, so breeders need to expose tap water to the sun for 2-3 days. This can not only eliminate chlorine in water, but also be closer to the temperature of old water.

2. Water exchange: Red Arowana is sensitive to the fluctuation of water quality, and the amount of water exchange for them by breeders should not exceed one third of the total water quantity every time, otherwise the water quality fluctuation is too large, which will lead to more discomfort.

3. Water change frequency: The water change frequency of red arowana can be determined according to the power of the filtration system. If the filter power prepared by the breeder is high, the water change frequency of the breeder can be lower, about once every 5 days. If the power of the filtration system is not large, the breeder needs to change water more frequently, and it is best to change water once every 3 days or so.
