It depends on the container size prepared by the breeder. Their size is too large, and they can grow to 35-45 cm in adulthood. Moreover, they are lively and like to crawl around in the cylinder, so the breeder needs to prepare them with a container that is at least 2-3 times larger than their size. If the container prepared by the breeder is relatively large, the number of breeders can be larger. If the container prepared by the breeder is small, it is not recommended to raise more than one flame turtle. Because the space is too small will affect their growth and development, and will also hinder their body growth.
2. How deep is the water level of the flame turtle?Different types of flame turtles require different water level heights. Normally, the water level of young flame turtles should be lower, and the water level should be consistent with the height of carapace. Because the flame turtle in childhood is small in size and weak in swimming ability, it is easy to choke or drown if it is raised at a deeper water level.
With the growth of their body size, the height of water level can also be raised. When they are adults, the height of water level can be controlled at 1-2 times of the height of carapace, but the maximum should not exceed 2 times. Although they are water turtles, they can't live in deep water. Breeders should pay attention to the height of water level when breeding.
