The requirements for environment are not particularly high when flame turtle breeds, because they will choose to start breeding in May every year, when the climate is suitable, but the temperature difference between morning and evening is somewhat large. Breeders need to ensure that the surrounding environment is always around 25 ℃ and the water quality should be kept clean and fresh, so as to facilitate their estrus. After estrus, the breeder should prepare a breeding box for them, put the flame turtles in estrus, and let them mate by themselves. After mating, the breeder needs to prepare a place for them to lay eggs, preferably fine sand or wet soil. Because when they lay eggs, they will pull away the soil, then lay the eggs in pits and bury them again.
2. How do flame turtles hatch after reproductionAfter flame turtles lay eggs, the breeder must first prepare an incubator for them so that they can hatch successfully. Vermiculite, moss and other materials that can keep moist can be selected as the cushion materials in the incubator. Then the breeder can select the fertilized eggs and put them in the incubator. The best temperature in the incubator is about 30 ℃, and the humidity should be kept at 80%-90%. It is best to check once a week during hatching to avoid contaminating others after some eggs are broken. In about 60-80 days, the flame turtle can hatch successfully. Hatched flame turtles need to disinfect the cut umbilical cord and ensure the stability of the surrounding environment.
