The third lake cichlids are tropical fish. Tri-lake cichlids do not refer to a specific fish, but refer to all cichlid fish living in the three Great Lakes of East Africa. Because the climate of East Africa is savanna, they can be said to live in tropical fish, that is, tropical fish.
When breeding cichlids in the third lakes, it is recommended to keep the water temperature above 24 ℃, preferably around 27 ℃. The water temperature can be slightly higher, but it must not be too low. Otherwise, the resistance of fish will decline, and it is easy to get enteritis or other diseases. When changing water, we should pay special attention not to change it too cold water. Before changing the water, you can put the new water in the sun to raise the water temperature. When changing water, don't change all the water, change about one third, so as not to change the water temperature and cause poor growth of fish.
Three lakes cichlids are not cold resistant, when breeding, it is recommended to use heating rod. In winter, we should pay special attention to keeping warm. If the water temperature in the tank cannot be maintained, install a heating rod in the tank to increase the water temperature to prevent the fish from getting sick. But if you can put the fish tank in the greenhouse, and ensure that the water temperature is always higher than 24 C, then you can not install heating rods.
