1. Floating feed: If the cichlids in the middle or upper layer are raised, the floating feed is the most suitable for feeding. This kind of feed will float on the surface of the water after being put into the water, and the fish can feed on their own.
2. Submerged feed: This kind of feed will not float on the top after being put into the water, on the contrary, it will sink to the bottom of the water immediately. It is mainly prepared for rock-dwelling fish and stratum fish.
3. Flake feed: Flake feed has the characteristics of the above two kinds of feed. It will float at the beginning and then sink to the bottom. However, for ordinary farmers, the effect of feeding flakes is not good. It often causes the fish in the middle and upper layers to eat too much, but the fish in the lower layers can not eat.
It is also a good choice to feed animal feed to Sanhu cichlids, but for the sake of insurance, generally do not directly feed live bait, but to be frozen. Common feedstuffs include Antarctic shrimp, red worms, silk earthworms and brine shrimp. After freezing, it is not only easy to preserve, but also can avoid bacterial infection leading to fish disease.
Most of the cichlids in Sanhu are omnivorous, but there are also a few vegetarians, such as butterflies. The intestines and stomach of this kind of fish are relatively fragile, generally to prepare special vegetarian plastic, can be prepared with allicin, berries and granular staple food, according to the ratio of 1:1:1 mixed into vegetarian patches for feeding.
