Before installing the oxygen pump, you need to check whether it can run normally. If you are sure that there is no problem, you can connect the oxygen pipe. The other end should also be connected to the sand head, and put it into the water. Turn on the switch. It should be noted that the position of the oxygen pump is generally higher than the water level, which can prevent siphoning phenomenon, otherwise water is sucked into the pump, which will lead to damage to the oxygen pump.
1. Every day: If the oxygen pump is connected with the filter, it needs to be turned on all the time, because the filter cannot be stopped, otherwise the water quality cannot be kept stable, which is harmful to the health of the fish. If the oxygenation pump is separate, it can be opened for several hours every day, unless there are too many fish, or large fish, oxygen consumption is relatively high, need timely oxygenation.
2. Sick: When the fish is sick, it is also necessary to turn on the oxygenation pump to oxygenate the tank. Although increased oxygen does not improve water quality, it can keep the water stable, and fish need medication during treatment, which often increases oxygen consumption, so full oxygen is also needed.
3. Open the tank: When raising fish for the first time, you need to open the tank first. When opening the tank, you need to establish a nitrification system. After pouring nitrifying bacteria into the tank, you also need to turn off the light and explode oxygen for a period of time. Because nitrifying bacteria are aerobic bacteria, full oxygen can promote its growth and reproduction.
