If the feeding density is normal, it is OK for Lanshou goldfish to filter without oxygen, because their demand for oxygen is not great. As long as the water quality is clean, the dissolved oxygen in the water can meet their demand. In addition, filters will bring a small amount of oxygen, so they generally do not suffer from lack of oxygen. Therefore, when the number of rearing is not large, breeders can choose to filter only without oxygen. However, when the feeding density is on the high side, it is necessary to use oxygen and filtration at the same time, because the amount of dissolved oxygen in water is fixed. If the number of fish increases, the oxygen will be insufficient, so the breeder needs to use oxygen pump to increase oxygen. However, it doesn't take too long to get oxygen, and it takes 4-5 hours to get oxygen every day. Unless the feeding density is extremely high, it is not necessary to get oxygen for 24 hours.

If Lanshou goldfish are raised indoors, it is ok not to be heated, because they have strong adaptability to water temperature. Even in winter, as long as the indoor temperature is above 10 ℃, they can survive well. If it is raised outdoors, it needs to be heated. Because winter is cold, the outdoor temperature in northern China may reach below 0 ℃. If heating rods are not used, Lanshou goldfish will probably freeze to death.
