Fish sometimes eat their own feces, but do not eat them, but spit them out immediately after swallowing them. Fish's method of judging food is relatively simple, they will swallow suspected food objects, if the taste is not right, they will spit out. Sometimes, however, they repeatedly huff and puff as they swim, causing their feces to crumble and look as if they had been eaten.
1. Strengthen filtration: The fish feces in the fish tank are mainly cleaned by the filtration system. Filtration is divided into two parts, one is physical filtration, which will suck the dirt in the water from the suction port. The other part is biological filtration, in which various beneficial bacteria living in the filter material will decompose fish feces and become harmless substances to fish after many transformations.
2. Water change and cleaning: It usually takes a long time for the filter system to clean up the fish feces. If you want to clean up quickly, you can drain the water from the bottom of the fish tank when changing the water, so that the feces and residual bait at the bottom of the water can also be cleaned up. After changing water, new water should be added from the upper part of the fish tank, but do not change water violently, so as not to stimulate the fish.
3. Reduce feeding: Too much fish feces is mainly due to too much feeding. The fish eat too much and naturally excrete too much. Usually two to three times a day can be fed, each time to feed 7 or 8 points full, do not let the water body with residual bait, which will also pollute the water quality.
