If nematodes appear in shrimp tanks, the simplest way to control them is to raise fish. Generally choose some small tropical fish, such as traffic light fish, which can eat nematodes. It should be noted that fish and shrimp mixed culture must ensure that the water quality requirements of the two are the same, otherwise fish can not survive, but also become food for nematodes.
Although fish eat nematodes, but the effect is relatively slow, if you want a quick solution, the best way is to release leeches. Leeches kill nematodes quickly, at least several times as fast as fish, and are easy to deal with. When the nematode is completely extinct, the leech can be removed with a net or tweezers, so that the survival of the shrimp will not be affected.
Applying drugs to get rid of nematodes is not a particularly recommended method. On the one hand, it may not be possible to get rid of all the nematodes with drugs. Over time, they will breed all over the tank. Moreover, the drugs will also cause certain damage to the shrimps. If you want to take medicine, you usually choose intestinal worm clearance, and one third of the tablets can be put in each time.
As mentioned above, nematodes have strong reproductive capacity and are difficult to eliminate, so they can also be eliminated by turning over the jar. It should be noted that the turning cylinder must be done thoroughly, both inside and outside the cylinder need to be thoroughly disinfected, a little place is not cleaned up, there will be a risk of recurrence.
