The black shell shrimp has a strong sense of defense, especially the female shrimp that is about to lay eggs. After incubation, it will carry the eggs on its body until the shrimp is formed. In order to ensure that they can safely hatch shrimps, female shrimps often find a hidden place to hide after hatching eggs. Except for looking for food at ordinary times, it will not come out easily. If the shrimp has not yet formed, the shrimp eggs are kicked off by it, probably because of the sudden change of water quality, or it is frightened, not a sign of shrimp. Therefore, during the period of female shrimp spawning, we should try to reduce the change of water, so as not to make the female shrimp have a sense of crisis, which is not conducive to its normal spawning.
The reproductive capacity of the black shell shrimp is very strong. As adults, they are basically either in spawning or mating. If the water temperature is adjusted artificially, it can spawn all year round. Its spawning period is not fixed, often related to environmental temperature. At the right temperature, its spawning period will be greatly shortened, the shortest can hatch shrimps in 13 days. Under different water temperature conditions, its spawning time is different. When the temperature is between 22 and 24 deg C, the shrimps can be molded after 15 to 16 days. If the temperature can be maintained at about 26 C, the embryonic development will be accelerated, and only 13-14 days will be needed to hatch shrimps.
