There is no fixed breeding time for the black shell shrimp. The adult individual can breed by itself in an environment with suitable water temperature, and is not limited by the season. Their breeding water temperature is 15-30 ℃, and the optimum breeding water temperature is 24-26 ℃. If you want them to reproduce, it is better to adjust the water temperature to 24-26 degrees Celsius, so that adult individuals can easily reproduce.
Black shell shrimps cannot reproduce when they are underage. When they are adults, that is, 2-3 months after hatching, they can reproduce. In water at 26 ℃, they breed about once every 30 days. If the water temperature is slightly higher or lower, their reproductive frequency will also be reduced. If the water temperature exceeds the breeding temperature, that is, 15-30 degrees Celsius, they will not breed.
The hatching time of the black shell shrimp eggs also has a great relationship with the water temperature. The hatching time of shrimp eggs is about 13-14 days in 26 ℃ water. If the water temperature is slightly higher or lower, the incubation time will also increase, but generally not more than 20 days. If the water temperature suddenly changes, or the mother shrimp is frightened, it may kick the eggs. Kicked eggs are difficult to hatch naturally, but shrimp can also be hatched artificially.
