Generally speaking, when the Anbu box turtle grows to about one and a half to two catties, and its abdominal armor is more than 15 centimeters, it can carry out breeding activities when it reaches sexual maturity. It usually begins to breed and lay eggs from April to June every year, laying about three to four eggs at a time.
