Australian striped arowana is very fierce, if it is mixed with other small fish, they will often eat other fish. So it is best not to mix them with other small fish. They are typically large fish and like to jump very much, so they must be covered on the tank when they are kept to avoid jumping out of the tank and suffocating when no one is there. They are also very sensitive to sudden changes in water quality. Generally speaking, it is difficult to raise them well.
1. Water temperature: Australian striped arowana does not have a high requirement for water temperature. When raising, it is only necessary to keep the water temperature between 24-28 ℃.
2. Water quality: They like to live in slightly acidic to neutral water environment. The PH value of the water body should be kept between 6.5 and 7.0, and should not exceed 7.5 as far as possible. The water hardness should be controlled between 3-12dh. They are very sensitive to sudden changes in water quality, and even die suddenly because of sudden changes in water quality. So be sure to pay more attention when changing water. Do not contain nitrite and chlorine in water, otherwise it will also affect their growth. In addition, at least 20% -30% of the water is changed every week, and the water must not be completely replaced with new water, which will cause harm to the fish. They also need light very much, and it is better to provide about six hours of light every day.
3, feeding: They are carnivorous fish, food can choose frogs, loach, goldfish, grasshoppers, shrimp and so on. When feeding, they can add a little salt to the water to enhance their appetite.
