It is better to raise one Arowana. First of all, their body size is relatively large, and the body length of wild Arowana can reach 80-100 cm after adulthood. Families raise Arowana, and few large fish tanks can raise two at the same time.
It is not recommended to keep two or more strips even if there is sufficient space in the container. Because Arowana is fierce in character and has a strong sense of territory, if two or more Arowana are raised together, they will keep fighting until one fish wins.
2. How to raise Arowana1. Water temperature: Arowana is a tropical fish and likes a higher water temperature. When raising artificially, it is best to keep the water temperature between 24-28 ℃. If conditions permit, it is best to install heating rods to keep the water temperature constant.
2. Water quality: Arowana prefers weak acidic soft water, and it is best to keep the PH value between 6.5 and 7.5 when feeding. They like clean and refreshing water quality, and breeders need to change water once a week, but the amount of water changed each time should not be too large, and it can be controlled at one third of the total water quantity.
3. Feeding: Arowana likes to eat animal feed. When raising artificially, it is necessary to feed them more live bait such as small fish, shrimp, tadpoles and earthworms, and also feed some lean meat and animal viscera to ensure their adequate nutrition. When they are adults, they can choose some special feeds with higher quality to feed.
