Arowana can feed shrimp. They are carnivorous animals and like to eat some small fish and shrimp very much. Compared with river shrimp, sea shrimp has more comprehensive nutrients, so it can be fed to Arowana.

But shrimps are generally frozen during transportation, and breeders need to thaw them all before feeding. Be sure to thaw completely, otherwise enteritis and diarrhea may occur. After thawing, the breeder should peel off all the shrimp heads and shells, so as to avoid scratching the internal organs of Arowana in sharp places. Finally, wash and soak with potassium permanganate solution for a while, which can kill most bacteria and parasites.

Arowana prefers animal feed, and some insects, such as red worms, bread worms and yellow mealworms, can be fed to them in artificial breeding. However, these insect shells are difficult to digest, so it is suggested that breeders feed some newly shelled insects. In addition to insects, you can also feed some live bait such as bumper shrimp, goldfish, tadpoles and loach. However, sterilization is also needed before feeding live bait to avoid infection.

Adult Arowana can also be fed some synthetic feeds, which are specially customized for them, which are more in line with their feeding habits. Moreover, synthetic feed is convenient and not easy to pollute water quality, which is very suitable for breeders with insufficient time.
