The water for fish culture is generally tap water. After being disinfected by the waterworks, this kind of water itself does not have any pollution and can be used safely. However, there will be residual chlorine in the disinfection process, although the content is relatively low, but it will also have a certain impact on the fish, so it is necessary to remove chlorine by drying water. Of course, there are many ways to remove chlorine, and you can also choose explosive oxygen or medication.
1. Airing: Airing is a common method of trapping water. According to different seasons, the time required is often different. In summer, the temperature is very high, tap water can be put outside for one day, while in spring and autumn, it takes two days, and in winter, it takes at least three days. In addition, if there is no sun, you can also stand to dry water to remove chlorine, usually about a week.
2. Explosive oxygen: Explosive oxygen is a method for rapid chlorine removal, but the dosage is relatively small, and the usage is relatively simple. Generally, fish farming has an oxygen pump, and it takes only one or two hours to oxygenate tap water with the oxygen pump. Explosive oxygen can not only remove chlorine, but also improve the dissolved oxygen in the water body, so it is very good for the health of fish.
3. Medication: It is more common to remove chlorine in aquarium stores. Because the amount of water used is relatively large, it is unrealistic to trap water by drying, so medication is needed. It should be noted that the dosage of drug dechlorination must be paid attention to, otherwise it may cause drug damage to fish.
