Usually, the filter of the fish tank is matched with the size. If the water tank itself is not big, the water flow of the filter is fast, which will be harmful to the health of the fish, but it will not cause the fish to be tired to death. On the contrary, if the filter is not opened, the fish tank will become stagnant water, the deterioration of water quality will be very fast, and the fish will die if the water is not changed in time.
1. Upper filter: The upper filter is placed on the upper part of the fish tank. The submersible pump can pump the water into the upper filter tank, and then discharge it from the bottom after passing through the filter cotton and other filter materials. This kind of filter structure is relatively simple, cleaning and maintenance is also very convenient, but it will occupy the upper space, affect the aesthetic feeling of the fish tank, and is not conducive to the growth of beneficial bacteria.
2. Drip filtration: Drip filtration is an upgraded version of the upper filter, which can perform both physical filtration and biological filtration. Its filter tank is divided into several layers. The upper layer prevents and controls filter cotton, biochemical cotton, etc., while the lower layer is a bacteria house and various filter materials. When water flows through the filter tank, it will increase contact with the air, thus providing a good growth environment for aerobic bacteria.
3. Quicksand filter: The quicksand filter has no physical filtration function, but it is also a very good biological filter. Its granular filter material is filled in the tank, and the water flows through the bottom, bringing oxygen to the aerobic bacteria. However, the defect is also obvious, and it must be matched with other indoor filtration.
