Usually, a fish will not reproduce. Most fish are dioecious. After the male and female fish mate, they can get fertilized eggs. Some are fertilized in vivo, and some are fertilized in vitro. Most of them are oviparous, but some are oviparous and viviparous. The eggs will hatch into small fish in vivo before they are discharged by the parent fish. But there are some fish more special, that is, hammerhead shark, this relatively primitive cartilaginous fish can parthenogenesis, a fish can also produce small fish.
1, parent fish pairing: ornamental fish want to reproduce, the first thing to do is to pair parent fish, usually as long as the fish is sexually mature, to the breeding period will automatically pair, it should be noted that in the process of courtship, fish may fight, so it is best to properly isolate. Or put the fish you want to breed into the breeding tank to pair up.
2. Waiting for spawning: After the ornamental fish pair up, they will often swim and feed together. At this time, it is necessary to pay attention to observation to see if the belly of the female fish has become larger, and how the color of the fetal spot is. If the color of the fetal spot is relatively dark, it indicates that it is ready to spawn, and a quiet environment needs to be provided to avoid dystocia.
3. Incubation of fish larvae: Spawning is usually in the evening or late at night. After spawning, the parent fish should be fished out to prevent them from swallowing the fish eggs. In the process of hatching, we must pay attention to the water temperature, after the larvae come out of the membrane, the first day does not need to feed it, the second day can feed a little cooked egg yolk, but finally use a special tank to feed, otherwise it will spoil the water.
