They can eat algae and all kinds of rotten plants, such as cooked spinach, radish and so on, as well as aquatic plants. When keeping fish, there may often be an overabundance of algae in the tank. Although Radix auricularis can play a role in removing algae, it is still necessary to be careful when raising them in a fish tank. The artificially cultured Radix Auricularia can be kept in a fish tank, but there will also be many problems, such as:
1. Radix Auricularia will not only eat algae, but also eat aquatic plants. Therefore, if there are aquatic plants in the fish tank, they will be destroyed by it. So it's better not to keep them in grass tanks.
2. Radix auricularis raised in a fish tank is easily eaten by fish.
3. Radix Auricularia has a strong reproductive capacity, and the cylinder often explodes, thus affecting the survival of other organisms in the cylinder.
In addition, wild Radix Auricularia should never be placed in a fish tank. Because wild radish snails often carry many parasites, which seriously affect the health of water and cause fish to get sick.
