The kissing fish is a kind of omnivorous ornamental fish. It is not picky about the feed, basically it can eat what the owner feeds. When breeding, they can be fed with dry fish food commonly found in the market, as well as small red worms, mealworms, earthworms and other live fish food. They can also eat algae, and if there is algae growing on the inside of the tank, they will eat it. So when feeding, you can also feed them some green algae powder and other feed.
When breeding kissing fish, you can feed once a day or twice a day. Every time they are fed, they should pay attention to controlling the amount of feed they are fed, so that they can eat 7-8% full. Because they do not actively control the amount of food they eat, they will continue to eat even when they are full. So overfeeding can easily lead to overeating and growth problems.
1. Feeding time: If feeding once a day, it is recommended to feed at 8-9 o'clock in the morning. If feeding twice a day, it is recommended to feed at 7-8 am and 3-4 pm. It's better for them to grow.
2. Control the amount of food: Do not feed too much each time. Make sure that the fish can finish eating the fish food within 10 minutes. If there is any surplus fish food, it should be removed in time to prevent them from eating too much.
