No matter what kind of fish tank water is changed, the water must be treated first. Because the water used is mostly tap water, this water itself is relatively safe, but contains residual chlorine, which causes certain harm to the fish body, so it needs to be connected and put in a sunny place for one to two days, until the chlorine volatilizes.
The first step to change the water is to take out the old water. Generally, do not use a pump to pump the water. If it is not easy to control the amount, it will also produce noise, causing the fish to be frightened, and even a stress reaction. The simplest way to pump water is to find a pipe, put one end to the bottom, put the other end lower, and siphon the water out.
When about one fifth of the water in the tank is sucked out, you can stop sucking water. The next thing to do is to add new water. Will be trapped in the water slowly into the fish tank, generally from the tank wall to change the pour, do not pour into a brain, which will cause fluctuations in water quality and water temperature.
Generally, the cycle of water change is not fixed. For the fish tank with good water quality, it can be changed once a week. If there is filtration, it is no problem to change it once half a month. If the water quality is poor, it will be changed in three or four days. It should be noted that water should be changed less frequently and more frequently.
