Zebrafish can change water once every 7 days under normal feeding. Because zebrafish has no strict requirements on water quality, and the pollution to water quality is not serious in the process of feeding at ordinary times, and many breeders will install circulating filtration systems, the frequency of water change does not need to be too high. However, if the feeding density is on the high side or the water pollution is serious, the breeder needs to increase the frequency of water change, which can be changed once every 3-4 days. When changing water for zebrafish, it is necessary to fish out the garbage and food residues in the fish tank first, and the amount of water to be changed should not be too large, and the amount of water to be changed each time should be controlled at one third of the total amount of water. In addition, pay attention to the temperature difference between new water and old water when changing water, preferably not exceeding 2 ℃.

Zebrafish has low requirements on water quality and can adapt to weak acid, weak base and neutral water. Breeders can use tap water to raise them at ordinary times. Before using tap water, breeders need to be exposed to the sun for 2-3 days, which can effectively remove chlorine from water and avoid affecting the health of zebrafish. Breeders can choose to use river water or lake water for breeding, but river water and lake water are easily polluted, and breeders need to filter many times before they can be used by zebrafish.
