The sex characteristics of the Su-Qatar tortoise are not obvious, but from the appearance, they are almost the same. For smaller turtles with 10 cm long plastron, they can be roughly distinguished by the shape of their plastron plates, which have two plates near their anus, if the tips of these two plates are inward, usually female turtles; If the tips of the two plates are outward, it is generally a male turtle.
Larger turtles can be distinguished by their tails and plastrons, usually with thicker tails, larger bodies and depressed plastrons; The female has a thin tail, a small body and a smooth plastron.
Su-Qatar turtles of different sexes can be kept together. They are more aggressive, especially male turtles, which are aggressive when they are young, and it is better not to mix them with other species of turtles. For turtles of the same species, they can be raised together with female turtles of the same size, but they should still be observed during the maintenance period to see if they will hurt each other, and if the above behavior occurs, it is recommended to raise them separately.
