The red-legged tortoise is not large in size and is more suitable for raising at home. The red-legged tortoise has a relatively long life span, and most of them can live to about 50 years old. They are relatively easy to maintain, have strong adaptability to the environment, pay attention to the regulation of temperature and humidity in the process of maintenance, and provide nutritionally balanced food and adequate water, in such suitable conditions for feeding, most of them can live to about 50 years old. Because of the limitation of living conditions and the threat of various natural enemies, the life span of turtles growing in the wild is shorter than that of artificially fed turtles, about 40-50 years old.
