The first step for new fish to enter the tank is disinfection. In order to prevent it from bringing some fungi into the tank, the fish must first be soaked in a diluted potassium permanganate solution for a period of time, usually half an hour. Drain and rinse, then return to the container.
The water environment of the new fish is different from that of the fish tank. The most important difference is the temperature. If the temperature difference is relatively large, the fish will feel uncomfortable after entering the tank, and may even cause it to get sick. Therefore, it needs to be overheated before entering the cylinder. Put the bag with the fish in the tank and let the temperature of the two gradually become the same.
In addition to temperature fluctuations, water quality will pose a certain threat to the fish, so it is necessary to put new fish into the tank after water. The method of water is very simple, the water in the tank is scooped into the bag containing fish, and then part of the water is scooped out from the bag, so it is almost repeated five times.
After the new fish into the tank, because the living environment has changed, so the fish may feel uncomfortable, this is generally a three-day dangerous period, do not disturb it, do not need to feed it, as long as the rest is good. Usually after three days or a week, the fish get used to it and start eating.
