Dolphins are a group of organisms that mainly live in the sea, because most dolphins are distributed in the sea. From a worldwide perspective, dolphins are widely distributed in the sea area. Most dolphins like to live in tropical and subtropical warmer waters, where the water temperature is suitable for the distribution of many dolphins. However, some dolphins with special habits like to live in places where the water temperature is lower, such as "exposed dolphin" and so on. Specifically, the distribution areas of different species of dolphins are also different. Some dolphins are found in many oceans, such as "bottlenose dolphins", which are found in three other oceans besides the Arctic Ocean.
As mentioned above, most dolphins are distributed in the ocean, and different species of dolphins live in different sea areas. The same is true in terms of depth, and the distribution depth of different varieties is also different. For most species, they need to come out of the water regularly to breathe, and can not stay in the water for a long time. Then, these dolphins will not be distributed in too deep areas, otherwise regular water ventilation will be more troublesome. As a result, most dolphins live in shallow waters, or near the shore, and rarely go deeper.
However, not all species like to live in shallow water, and some species of dolphins also like to live in deep water. For example, there is a dolphin called "rough-toothed dolphin", which can survive in shallow and deep waters, but they prefer to live in deeper waters, often to 1500 meters deep, and sometimes to 2000 meters deep.
