In the process of studying dolphins, biologists will find a more interesting behavior, that is, when a human falls into the water, dolphins will rescue him, lifting or pushing him into shallow water, or directly pushing him to the shore. After the study, the researchers found that there are two reasons that are more important:
1. Nature: In fact, although dolphins make the act of saving people, they may not have the concept of saving people subjectively. Their rescue behavior comes from their nature, that is, the nature of caring for young dolphins. Dolphin is very good care of the calf, not only the mother of the calf, the other dolphins in the group will also take the initiative to take care of the calf. For example, large dolphins often lift small dolphins into the air so that they can breathe. And this nature is reflected in their rescue behavior, that is, when they find humans in the water, they also lift them up. In addition to this caring nature, they also have a playful nature, which makes them want to play when they save people.
2. IQ: The IQ of dolphins is relatively high. Although they have no subjective concept of saving people, they will lift humans to the shore, rather than farther into the deep water, which itself depends on their intelligence. Their rescue behavior is also related to their high IQ.
Dolphins are relatively friendly to humans, and they will make rescue actions when humans are in distress. For example, after humans accidentally enter deep water or even drown, dolphins will lift humans up and then lift them to shore. In addition, some studies have shown that dolphins will come forward to drive sharks away for humans when they are accidentally attacked by sharks.
