Betta fish is generally not recommended to be mixed with other fish. However, if it is polyculture, it is necessary to choose medaka, benthos or lamp fish. The first is the fast-swimming medaka, such as Mary fish. Because fighting fish are very aggressive, they may attack fish of their own size. Therefore, in order to protect polyculture fish, you can choose fish that swim faster, because in this way, betta fish can't attack them.

Secondly, benthic fish can be selected. Because betta fish are pelagic fish, their range of activity is only in the upper layer of the fish tank. So if you mix them with benthic fish, they won't invade each other's space, which will avoid attacking each other. Finally, there are small lamp fish, because they have no tail pecking habit, and the tails of betta fish are very ornamental, so in order to protect their tails, we should choose lamp fish without tail pecking habit.

The fish tank should choose large fish to provide them with sufficient living space, so that they will not fight for territory. At the same time, rockery should be placed in the fish tank, because it can provide shelter for other fish.
