It is possible to use tap water to raise fighting fish, because fighting fish are relatively solid and do not require very high water quality, so they can be raised with tap water. However, tap water should be used after drying, not just connected out. Because the water temperature of the tap water just received is very low, and it also contains chlorine, which is not conducive to the growth of fish. When tap water is taken out and aired for 3-5 days, the water temperature can be raised and most of the harmful substances can be volatilized. In this way, it can be used to raise betta fish.
Raising fighting fish is not recommended to use mineral water. First, because of the cost. Mineral water is more expensive, if you use a small fish tank to raise it, if you use a large fish tank to raise, even if only one third of the water is changed each time, it also needs a lot of water, the cost is too high. Secondly, the PH of mineral water is not fixed, and the PH of water produced in different places at different times is not necessarily the same. If you buy alkaline or acidic mineral water, it will affect the normal growth of fish.
Because pure water does not contain any impurities, it can theoretically be used to raise fighting fish. Pure water is neutral, and there are no impurities in it, which will not affect the growth of fish. The biggest problem with raising betta fish in pure water is also the cost. Because pure water is generally expensive, the cost of using it to raise fish is relatively high. If the water is changed frequently, there may be a lot of expenses. Therefore, compared with pure water, it is more recommended to use dried tap water to raise it.
