Traffic light fish are tropical fish and like to grow in warm environment. The most suitable water temperature for their growth is between 22-26 ℃. Traffic light fish have high requirements for water quality. They like weakly acidic water, and breeders need to keep the PH value between 5.8 and 6.8. They like soft water, and breeders need to use tap water or distilled water after exposure to the sun to breed them. They like clean and refreshing water quality, and breeders need to change water once every 3 days, and the amount of water change each time is controlled at one third of the total water quantity.

Traffic light fish like plenty of light, but they can't accept violent light. Breeders need to keep them in a sunny place, but they need to build a shade above the fish tank, so that they have a place to avoid the sun.

The food requirements of traffic light fish are not high, so breeders can choose a variety of foods to feed together. But their favorite foods are bumper shrimp, red worms, water fleas, water earthworms and so on. Breeders can try to feed more of these kinds of feeds. The food intake of traffic light fish is not large, and the breeder feeds it 1-2 times a day, and the amount of each feed can be finished within 10 minutes.
