Zebrafish reproduce by laying eggs, so what they produce is not small fish, but fish eggs. Captive zebrafish can produce about 70-100 eggs at a time. Although they lay more eggs, not all their eggs will hatch into small fish. Because male fish do not guarantee that every egg can be fertilized, and because of the influence of the environment during hatching, the number of eggs turning into small fish will not be too large. Under normal circumstances, only 20-40 fish eggs can be hatched after fertilization and hatching. If the incubation environment is unstable or the fertilization rate is not high, the number of successful incubation will also decrease.
2. What to do with zebrafish after production1. Parent fish: Zebrafish will become physically poor after production, and breeders need to transfer them to a new fish tank. And ensure that their living environment is comfortable, but also ensure that they have enough food, so as to restore their original physical strength and state faster.
2. Fish eggs: If they are fertilized fish eggs, the breeder needs to keep the water temperature between 24-28 ℃ and keep sufficient oxygen, so as to speed up their hatching. After waiting for 2-3 days, they can hatch into small fish. If it is unfertilized fish eggs, the breeder needs to fish them out immediately to avoid polluting the water after they become moldy.
