Thai betta can breed about 4-6 months after birth. If breeders are unable to determine whether they can breed, they can judge by their body length. Normally, as long as their body length reaches more than 5 cm, they can reproduce. Thai betta breeding is not restricted by seasons, so long as they live in a comfortable environment, they can breed.
2. How do Thai betta breed1. Prepare breeding environment: If breeders want Thai betta to breed, they must prepare a comfortable breeding environment. First of all, the water temperature should be kept between 26-28 ℃, and the water quality should be kept clean and fresh. If conditions permit, oxygen can be given to the breeding tank for half an hour in advance to ensure sufficient dissolved oxygen in the water.
2. Put parent fish: After the breeding environment is ready, the breeder can put them into the breeding tank. Most Thai betta fish will fight directly. Breeders can add a partition in the fish tank first, and then remove the partition after they adapt to each other's existence.
3. Breeding: After Thai betta is in heat, the male fish will dance courtship dance in front of the female fish. If the female fish accepts it, they will dance with the male fish. Then the male fish will wrap its tail around the belly of the female fish to help them lay eggs. After the female fish lays eggs, the male fish will immediately come forward to inseminate, and after insemination, the eggs will become fertilized eggs.
4. Hatching: After the fish eggs become fertilized eggs, small fish can be hatched in 2-3 days. During incubation, breeders need to keep the incubation environment stable.
